Dene Hunter
Dene Hunter is in the front. A good friend of mine is the third person back. Colin Hartley and I went to Church Road School together and we were in the same class.
I think Dene Hunter emigrated to Australia. I've no idea where Colin went. He was a great guitarist by the way. I remember the other two guys, but not their names. If anyone can help me out??

Hi Philip,I havn't remembered the drummers name yet but the bass player is called Bruce. You were almost right,- I ended up in New Zealand not Australia.Made a record here ,did a bit of caberet work for 2/3 years but never really thought that I had the talent to make a living out of the pop scene.Having a pretty successful life here with no regrets about leaving Blackpool -a bit like you I guess.I had a guy call last week strangely enough whos putting together a compilation record of beat music 66-69 so its rather weierd that I should go on to google and find your site.
Look forward into keeping in touch
Best Regards

Hello Roger, That was a big surprise. It's nice to know you're doing well.
I don't know how many times I enjoyed your performances at the Queens Theatre in Cleveleys with the Trackers and the Newtones.
My e-mail...
pjbrooks@alltel.net.
Thanks for writing, looking forward to hearing from you again soon, Philip
HiPhilip
My wife saw your blog on the Thornton Cleveleys past site on facebook.
I'm Andy Unitt the drummer with Dene Hunter and the Newtones , the bass player was Bruce Turner Nice to know that we are remembered after all these years. Where did all those years go ?
I lost touch with Colin, last time I heard he was in the Settle area ?
But I was in touch with Bruce on facebook a while back.
Great to know that Roger is doing well in New Zealand.
I still played a bit up until 6 years ago then decided to retire gracefully. Sad news about Jimmy Rose saw him from time to time in the Wings Club in Cleveleys (where my wife works) and where I played last.
regards
Andy Unitt
Hi Andy, I remember the band quite well. I'm sure we must have met back then. Colin and I went to Church Road School together and we were in the same class. We spent many happy evenings learning to play the Shadows instrumentals. :)
Thanks for writing. It's good to hear from you, Philip.
