Marsh Mill Thornton-Cleveleys

Marsh Mill in Thornton is a treasure. I remember looking up at the sails as I rode by it on my BSA bicycle peddling to Church Rd School. It has quite a history. Besides being a mill, it has also housed a tea room, a boy scout troop and a museum.
My song on the Fishermen of Fleetwood album tells part of the story of Marsh mill but there is also much more information available on the internet. If you find yourself in the Fylde, take the time to see the mill. You won't be disappointed.
I appreciate Pete Skinner of Blackpool allowing me to use his photograph. Thanks Pete, hope to see you in October.
